Today's show jumping riders are in search of an athletic horse that is quick, with fast reflexes, has a long stride, is careful not wanting to touch a fence, very powerful with lots of scope, intelligent, and modern in type (not to heavy as in years past). The modern showjumping horse needs to jump higher, cover more ground quickly, and possess excellent front leg technique (bascule) and rear leg technique to jump clean in today's showjumping competitions. Which breeds are the best? All breeds have exceptional athletes and a good horse is a good horse no matter what the breed. I have done my best to import Europe's finest bloodlines to improve or at least match the quality of horses here in America which many have been imported from all over the world. Over the years most European breeds have become lighter to meet the demands of the modern show jumping courses, in fact one of the key aims is to get the best European bloodlines that look in appearance to be very thoroughbred like. Oddly enough, no matter how much a pure thoroughbred wins (even as Olympic Champions), they always seem to receive a less than perfect reputation in the show jumping sport. My goal in breeding is to help create an equine athlete that has exceptional ride ability, has a great minds, and loves to win or at least do their very best.
I started breeding out of necessity due to the shear expense of buying the best horses show jumping has to offer which can be in access of a million dollars (This does not even include the price of saddles, tack or equipment, nor the training or show expenses). It is much easier to choose from the best stallions that are themselves or their offspring that are proven winners or have numerous accomplishments and combine them with successful mares. This is not as easy as it sounds but when offspring are born with impeccable bloodlines these horses wow everyone at approval ceremonies and everyone anticipates an incredible athletic career in the show jumping sport. Today, I currently have 40 excellent show jumping sires (frozen semen) in which there lineage represents individual and team gold medals in the Olympics, silver and bronze in team and individuals, 1.60 grand prix champions and placers, world cup champions, top sire ranking champions, 5 to 8 year old event champions and or reserve champions, approval champions and or reserve champions, proven consistency from breeding or competition records, and highest money earners. It's a great feeling to look at a horses pedigree and see some of the worlds greatest equine hero's and know that you're horses future is just as bright. I hope you can see my vision and allow me to help you create the equine superstars of the future in the showjumping sport.
I learned to breed in the summer of 2013 working at an Arabian farm as well as many other private farms in the Temecula area. I assisted in the collection of stallions and performed many artificial inseminations using fresh and frozen semen. The results were incredible, so my enthusiasm has driven me to create this success for myself and for others to build their own breeding dreams. It takes a lot of vision, faith, and perseverance to be a breeder. Visionaries take charge in the planning, designing, and lineage of your horses future. When your foal is born it is truly and indescribable feeling. If you choose one of my sires and need full service in breeding, advice, or simple want to order frozen semen, It would be my pleasure to help you plan the life of your future show jumping superstar.
